Cindy Soto said she likes to play new lottery games when they come out. That's why she bought the $5 "Gold Mine 50X" scratch-off ticket that scored her that massive payday.

Soto chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.

She plans to buy a home with her winnings.

Soto bought her ticket at Russell’s Package Store, 24 Columbia St. in Leominster. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
